PARISH OF ST. PETER & ST. PAUL

Ecumenical Patriarchate

The Parish of St Peter and St Paul, which was established in January 2003 with the blessing and encouragement of the late Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh (1914-2003). It is part of the worldwide Orthodox Church, being part of a Deanery within the Archdiocese of Thyateira & Great Britain and the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. Our parish is also a member of the Churches Together in Clapham (CTiC).

Over the last years we have welcomed some 300 souls to our services, of whom approximately 80 gather on any given Sunday. We are a mix of nationalities - American, British, Bulgarian, Canadian, Cypriot, Dutch, Ethiopian, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Irish, Lebanese, New Zealand, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, South African and Ukrainian. The services are celebrated mainly in English, with some prayers in a Church Slavonic and Greek.

Our Parish is served by Archpriest Fr. Alexander Fostiropoulos, Fr. Ian Page and Fr. Stefan Strekopytov. We currently celebrate the Divine Liturgy on the second, fourth and fifth Sunday, with Vigil on the evening preceding the second Sunday. We are also celebrating an increasing number of church feasts, including the Lenten services, as well as celebrating as many of the Holy Week services as is feasible. We always assemble for a light "bring-and-share" lunch after the Sunday Liturgy, so that everyone in the community can get to know each other better. A bookstall with a selection of recommended books is available after each Sunday Liturgy.

Our parish adheres to a Safeguarding Policy. For more information please contact our church warden, Christine Brown, or Jarod McBride.

Please come and worship with us whenever you can. This is the greatest possible contribution you can make to the life of our community. We would always be grateful for your prayers so that with God's grace we may continue to serve his people in the area.
